From Birmingham

Take I-65 North

Follow I-65 N to AL-91 N in Cullman County.

Take exit 291

Continue on AL-91 N. Drive to Co Rd 509

Take a right onto Co Rd 509

Within a mile or so, start looking for the field on the right, as that is the campsite

  • There will be a dumpster at the entrance
  • Have your entrance or camping fees ready!

To the Locust Races

From Birmingham

Take I-65 towards Huntsville.

Take exit 284 for US Hwy 31/St Hwy 160 East towards

Hayden Corner.

Follow Hwy 160 East for about 18 miles.

Turn Left onto St Hwy 79 and follow it for about 3 miles.

Look for a sign on the right after you cross over the bridge.

Take that right, go about 50 ft and take a left info the woods through the cattle gate.

Follow that road all the way in and when you see the camp, you are home.

  • Note – the road my be rough, so go slow.
  • Have your entrance or camping fees ready!
